"Silent Night"

Last night(05/06) we had our monthly Board Meeting and everything was as calm as could be. There was no controversy and we were done in 30 minutes. Can it last? Who knows? We have suspended meetings until September barring emergencies. Now next Tuesday with all the Home Owners. Boy, I can't wait! (yeah, Right!)

Maybe Now It's Over

In my last post I prematurely stated that the new PC was installed. Well it was, but I found out there were still several small tweaks I had to make. Ya know, moving the hardware around and just fixing this and that. Nothing big, but just stuff I like to tweak.

I think I've finished! Well, at least for now.

The big thing now is that I've really fallen behind in all my TiVo shows and it's really difficult to catch up since I have a tendency to drift off to dream land while watching TV.

Really hard problems to have aren't they? I guess I should count my self as fortunate with these as the big deals for me.

For now at least I'm done. Now on to the TV.

 

Finally!!!

Well, it's Monday and I just finished the last piece of getting the new computer installed.

Moving Adobe Acrobat from one machine to another almost takes an act of Congress. There are more hoops to jump through than you can imagine. I don't think there a many unauthorized pieces of this software. I had to call three times for three different matters and the last one this morning was the most difficult for me to understand with the tech's accent.

Anyway, I think I'm done. I hope I have enough sense NOT to buy a new PC for a while.

Maybe I can get back to my boring lifestyle. At least it isn't stressful.

What's New?

What's new you ask, well let me tell you.

I'm using my new Dell. It came yesterday (04/25) and I'm still installing it and will be over the next several days.


There was nothing wrong with my "old" PC, except I just got the urge. After all, the president is sending me a check (I hope) and he wants me to spend it. I have so much respect (not) for President Bush I just had to do what he asked.


Anyway, over the next week or so if you wonder what I'm doing in my spare time, it'll be installing stuff on the new PC

Another Homeowners Brd of Directors Event

Tuesday was a big day here.

First, we had a Pot Luck with a Luau Theme. I wore a grass skirt and leid everyone who came through the door. I was exhausted.

Then, The Board met with the Park Owners and I even leid them.

The biggest thing was to try and get the issue of "short term" rentals resolved by getting a real definition of what "Short term" really meant.

The Park Owners were very receptive to this issues and will be back to us with an acceptable definition of the term.

All was cordial and I believe all went away pleased.

Ya never know.

Reunion

Yesterday, Sunday, April 13, was Reunion Day.

Following my church service in Orlando, I drove to Winter Haven to meet several of the folks who used to sing in the choir with Ruby & I at the church in Winter Haven.

Our Choir Director, Teryll, was there it it was fun to chat about the "Old Days", although it just wasn't the same without Ruby. She was the only reason I was in the choir. She loved to sing and I belonged so she wouldn't have to travel to choir practise alone.

Today, Monday, should be rather quiet (what else is new?) and then tomorrow, after a Pot Luck, the Board will meet with our Park Owners. I'll let you know all about it.
